How much!?

Car is booked in on 16th to find out why my car is leaking coolant, service light came saying needs doing in 900 miles. Phoned up VW to add the service aswell as I might aswell get it done while its there.

My car is on LongLife (I KNOW I KNOW, shut it ok) and this will be 2nd service it get (38k) and they have given me a price of £330. I have no idea how much these services cost. That is a pretty steep price, can anyone confirm that I'm not getting mugged off here please. Cheers.

think thats alot for any service why not try out a vw specialist must be able to do better :shocked:

 :shocked:  :shocked: that seems alot for that mileage, i will ring my local dealer on monday mate and find out how much they charge, you'd expect that kind of cost at 80K where they do everything inc valet the car!!! according to all reports that isnt even run in at that mileage!

 is it dsg because thats on the service at 40 k isn it also plug change etc

Having spoke to several VW Stealers that is in fact the going rate (well, in London anyway) for a car on 40k as the 40k is a major service. You have been warned.
