Anil,
Why have you got your heart set on a GT FSI?
I daren't hardly say it but the diesels are much better value, cheaper insurance, go better and are more efficient
Unless you are getting it at a silly cheap price?
Erm, I dont know the story behind this particular gt fsi, however i did my research as usual and many traders and private sellers are offering the same year but more mileage for slightly more in price, in my eyes it does seem the cheapest one of its kind that i have seen myself.
Me being slightly too impatient i decided to go check this car out in car giant about 8.30 in the evening a few days ago, so as you can imagine it was pretty dark and the lights helped a little bit, so i got my light out on the phone and did a once over, the brakes were rusty as usual, hardly any scratches.... so i thought "very nice indeed, but why is this one cheaper" so i had a browse over the exterior again and i noticed there is a dent in the bottom corner of the drivers side door, this to me looks definitely like the door was opened all the way too close to a curb or wall, silly mistake perhaps?
I have considered diesels a huuuuge amount, but they again are slightly more in price compared, yes they are cheaper for me on insurance etc but when it comes down to it, i will burn the same amount of fuel running back and forward to work through traffic as i do in my petrol mk4. im not a diesel expert but both my girlfriend and cousin have said to me diesels are beneficial once you are out of traffic zones and on the open roads.
Sorry i nearly went into a life story there
