rounded off hex bolts

i have rounded off a hex bolt on the small inlet manifold (underneath of course  )

how do you guys get em out? i cant get a blow torch in there accurately, so what are these easy out things? is this my best bet?

What engine Mark? 8 or 16v?
Try a spline or torx bit.
If you can wait till tomorrow then i might be able to pop round in the afternoon and have a look.

Oh yeah, you could try banging a socket over the top of the bolt.

i traded in the 16v and got an 8v

i might try the socket cos i got a few old ones i dont mind mangling

Tx is like a little star shaped tool.... Very handy to have

From the back of the engine block, yes...  Be careful of the back of your hand bangin the bodywork tho

p.s. i was joking about 8v mk1_boy its 16v with injectors going in at the front

Any one that gets a nice grip in there, depends how rounded it is
