hello everyone, im not that new - have been using the site a little, however havn't really said much because ive always prefered doing things on my own, however i think its about time i ask for some help and advice!
Firstly...this may sound abit stupid...but im still struggling to get photos to appear on here... ive got a photobuck account, do you simply copy and paste the link?
Secondly, im finding hard to sell my Mk1 Golf. Some of you may have seen it in the classified not too long ago, but basically its a mk1 cabrio which has only done 42k miles and has only one owner before me. Most of the service history is VW, the rest is private but with all receipts. It has also been slightly modified...the usual wheels, coilovers, exhaust and lights. Ive been told by the mechanics at my local VW garage that it would be worth around £4000 if it was in original condition. Is this being abit optimistic?
I would really appreciate it is you could give me your views and opinions on the car and what i should do. Is it worth putting the car back to standard and try selling it like that, or should I lower the asking price? or should i wait until the summer? Also where is the best place to advertise it and how can you tell the genuine buyers from the people wasting your time? I would really love keep my car because there is very little in the same conditon and just puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it, but im a uni student and can't afford to pay another £2000 on insurance and im constantly in overdraft.
