no hybrid mate,no need.original turbos will run 1.1bar all day long with no probs.standard injectors will run upto around 230bhp.around 205bhp is the max you can run the standard turbo system, but even then its the intercooler that restrics you before the turbo will.but the art of quality re-mapping mate is not just fuel&turbo, write the correct file and the engine does most the work not the turbo.
once i'v sorted the traction control its going upto midlandvw for rolling road printouts, then after that on goes a bmw330D Garrett variablevein turbo,rad-tec custom frontmount intercooler, custom silicone hoses, fratteli 520+injectots,james will re-write the software again, the a trip to jodie at midlandvw, get it on the rollers and should drive away with a printout for around 275/280bhp.
I'v got some videos to try n put on display somewhere of the golf pulling dead strong from 0 to 150mph..
if you want i'l post the date when im going up there so you can come and witness it for your self.
my golf is erm well known in tamworth for being abit rapid, people must have seen it.5door,in antherthite, did have 18"rs4's,now on black and silver 17" bbs's,droped on it arse, gti badges and it's 02 plate, dnt smoke and im out in it most nights

hi guys,
Update on the traction fault..
i put standard 15" alloys back on,traction goes crazy!!light flashing 1st,2nd,3rd,4th&5th but only traveling at upto 45mph!!traction took over, killed all power, turned it off, carried on driving spins up 1st,2nd,3rd but not 4th or 5th so why is the light going..
borrowed two audi tt 18" alloys of me mate tt for 5mins,traction control on,drive as normal 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th no lights flashing,no bogging down,no power lose just pull,pull,pull..
i tried all diffrent brands of 17"tyres to start with, bridgestones, yoko's,michelins it was still the same, but 18"s with budget tyres and no faults!!!
so the only explanation i can give is the traction system has got to have been getting confused and i need bigger wheels..i need 18"s again..but there goes the handleing!
any one out there runnig 19"s??how does it handle??
and the colour antherthite met(dark grey)

If you've a hardware issue then the best way is put it to stock first and eliminate this first so the mapping can be removed from the equation, after that then start to look at the mapping, hard to say without seeing the current map running but I have an idea.

hi john,
all mapping was done by james bowman, bhpremaps.com,we did import the original file back in but this didnt seem to cure anything but make it worse realy.
it's just realy strange that it doesnt play up at all with 18" on, it come with 15"s as standard so i cant even work out why this would be an issue.
i must admit, as this is first car that bhp have re-mapped of mine, power and economy as been fantastic for 40,000miles,
now its only returning 37.6mpg driving it so easy,it has droped as low as 31.3mpg!!this was monday morning, did drive fast but not that hard.
car has covered 104.457miles now,i think it might be expensive to cure this one for some reason.
it is due a cambelt, doing this tomoz, next week me and james are heading over to the rolling road to see what we can find out cus it realy is driving me crazy and stressing me out now lol
