The most sensible option is to reject the lot, otherwise you're into 'repair' territory which has the potential to become a spinning load of old shyte of wheels flying back and forward to this supplier.

If you're set on those wheels then get the miscreant rim down to a tyre fitter - you need to know whether it's the tyre not sealing, or if the rim is cracked...... cos those are about the extent of your likely problems here.

None of this is rocket-science, is it?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

He is right. Maybe send them all back and tell them to swivel on it.

I've been out for a pint and calmed down a bit now. DH your are right with your advice. The time to reject the whole lot is now sadly past really. The tyre fitters that refitted the tyres for me yesterday slightly marked both wheels getting the centre caps off (In there defence they're a total pig to get off) and I just know from talking to the manager of the alloy supplier on the phone that he's the sort tha will make all this as hard work as possible for me.

I'm going to National Tyres in the morning and getting them to test the tyre and wheel and see what that comes up with. If it's the tyre I'll get a replacement ordered (£38 on camskill), get it fitted, try and get the money back nad chalk it up to experiance. If it's the rim then I'm going to have bite the bullet and try getting it sent back and go from there.

As said before, name and shame and start right here. Then contact them with a very forthright e-mail telling them what you think of their customer service, and what you have done and send them the links to your naming and shaming. You may also be able to threaten them with trading standards. But also investigate a call to the ministery of transport as the brand new wheels and tyre you bought were not up to minimum safety standards.

But TBH, you might be looking at chewing the fat on this one and wearing it, as there may be very little you can do........legally! B@stards like this should not be allowed to trade.

Well I've had it checked and the tyre is leaking on a mold line on the side wall. Not repariable and clearly a manufacturing fault. National Tyres don't stock the same tyres so going to give bodge fit a call to see if they do, if not then I'll order one online and get it fitted in the week.

Hassle, but at least the rim is not leaking!

To be honest I just can't be doing with the hassle of sending the rim back and then waiting for them to return etc. I just know it'll drag on for weeks etc. I'll get the tyre sorted and send them the bill and if they want to the old tyre they can send a courier to collect it to see the problem with it.
