I'm bloody livid. They won't send a replacement as they don't hold them in stock. All they will do is collect the wheel from work and inspect before deciding what to do further. What's the betting I end up with them then wanting to charge me for a new tyre and not sending the rim back till I pay up or something.

I'm really p!ssed off and it's ruined the excitement of having a new set of rims.

Thats shocking... Name and Shame already!

TBH theyve got it wrong. If the dont do anything about it cant you get trading standards involved or whatever? (im young and dont know what they do so may be irrelevant)

why dont you find the leak and then you can tell them what needs doing. run some water over it and watch for bubbles!

I've tried that but can't find it and I don't have anything big enough to immerse the whole rim in. I suggested that I took it to a local tyre centre and got it repaired or replaced at their cost but they refused that as an option as they won't settle any dispute without seeing the wheel in person and having their engineers inspect it.

that sucks. i wouldnt trust them tbh, id want to know the problem before giving them the wheel.

the speed its down i would have thought you could find the leak! maybe a tyre fitters would have a tank of water? or take it down to a river!

No kids round here mate, just old people! Humm. I'm tempted to say f**k it and take it up to ATS or something and just get them to see what's up repair it or replace the tyre and be done with it. I don't know if I can be bothered with the hassle of sending it back etc.
