I know but the money from the Passat needs to go on paying off some bills.

I've heard the caps can cause a bit of a knocking noise on full lock but quite a few of the Rado boys have run them as it seems the they tend to sit nose high when fitted with lowering kits. It's not ideal but I got the caps for £16 delivered from a chap off the corrado forum and they're brand new and unused. I like the current ride quality and handling so the caps will give me the stance and then one day when I can afford proper coilovers that will give me adjustment of height and dampening I'll go that route.

another thread with those photos?

asw.

I was excited and not everyone reads the dub rides threads.

Sorry, but I think I've seen them on too many T4s.

Unusual choice for a 'rado, but the T4 boys have ruined them for me...... plus they seem to spend their lives buckling them.  :lipsrsealed:

Yeah I've heard they buckle when fitted to the heavier end of the Dub range. I agree they are to quote chuff "played out" on MKIV's, MKIII's and T4's but I felt they really suit the Rado and were within my budget which LM reps or 17's BBS RS's certainly weren't.

As well as me liking them much much more than the rims it came on the car handles so much better with these fitted, they're the correct offset (the others weren't) and the tyres are better quality.

Were you set on 17's Nick?

Cheers Rob :-)

Dec, Yeah I was set on 17's I think they suit the ado as tey have large arches similar to MKIV golfs in size.

Ahh cool! A guy I know had 16s and it was pretty low on coilovers and it looked pretty good but it wasnt practical as he had scrubbage and they didnt look quite big enough as you said.

Right I have a problem. After getting the tyre that was going down reseated and a new valve fitted it's still going flat over night. I rang the supplier and they told me to send it back at my expense or drive to either of their branches (Manchester or north London).

Now I have already spent £17.50 getting it reseated, new valve and balanced (Plus getting another tyre swapped round because they had it fitted the wrong way). So I don't think I am being un reasonable in requesting a complete new alloy and tyre delivered to my work on monday with the same courier taking the old one back. I'm waiting for a manager to call me back.

What do you guys think?

No Way man, that is fair !! And request that moeny back.
Its their fault, speak to the managment and dont hold back,

Companys dont like to loose business, and say you are part of a company or a auto yard to swweeten it and they think they loose lots of business!

Just tell them straight

I think after the initial outlay on the rims and further spending on the tyre re-seat etc you are more than reasonable. I would send a copy of the reciept for the tyre re-seat and get that money back also. You buy a new set of rims and just expect to put them on and drive, not mess about with tyres. Tyre being the wrong way round is an mot issue, tell him that also.
