Do they mean the rear bias valve? If so there should be a few posts about it on here.

The bias valve is easy to spot, it sits near the rear axle on the n/s - follow the brake pipes into it!
You can the usual WD40 it to death approach, or buy a new one for about £30

Looks like this (when new):

2012 Megane RenaultSport 250 Cup
1991 Volkswagen Golf GTI 8v
1990 Renault 5 GT Turbo

Use wd40 and a rubber mallet on the bias valve.

DON'T use WD-f*cking-40 on it!

Use something that *actually* has an effect - Plusgas, or another penetrating fluid.  You will have much better results.

When you get the brake unions cracked off you may want to rock them back and forth to make sure the union is separated from the pipe - nothing worse than twisting off the end of one of your brake pipes, is there?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Nothing wrong with using WD40 at all.
The valve probably won't even need replacing, i've sorted several before by just using wd40 and a rubber mallet to free it up.

Yeah it will free up with some lube and a good clean to get all the crap and rust out of the linkage
