I'm guessing these are the speakers that my Golf Gti with indash 6 disk changer and 10 speaker upgrade has, or are these better?

They are the same as in the 10 speaker system that the Golf has if you have already upgraded.

So, the answer is yes, they are the same.

Go aftermarket if you want an upgrade. It is the only way

Cheers Hurdy,

Only thing putting me off is the price - cheapest 3 ways I can find are the Hertz for £220.

I plan to start with what I have put in my most of my recent cars with varying degrees of success, but always an improvement over std.

I install a powerful HU to power the front speakers along with a sub and amp in the boot.

Then I'll think about upgrading the front speakers.

Must admit I used to have a mk1 Focus with amped 6.5" Infinity Kappas in the front and a sub in the boot and nothing else since has sounded close!

If you can afford the Hertz comps, then they are very, very good for the money

Modding the Audio system in a car can become much more expensive than all the other performance mods put together. I've seen a guy with 4 thesis amps in his beetle - at £4k each

Rainbow, I think, do a specific set of comps that are meant to be perfect matches/fit to the mk5 golf. I plan to buy when I have cash that's not been spent on hands-free/stage 2/new alloys/rns.
