you ever thought about getting a small van like a caddy hideously cheap to insure fairly cheap to buy and quite good on the fuel and it has the vw badge

have you considered a mk3 polo?? my bro has a gt and gets anout 145 miles to 15 quid! if insurance is pricey though look at a 1.0 they are still really nippy and brill on fuel, my mate had a 1.0 for his first car and abused it for about a year and never had a prob with it!!

and they are dirt cheap to pick up!!

Well i want something that is cheap to run, so it does good mpg, and wont mind doing the miles i do to work and back each day, is not pricey to insure, and not expensive to buy. As its just a daily.

I've just stopped driving my mk4 polo as bought a golf and i think its a really reliable car and never gave me any problems and it was so cheap to run!! And great as a daily runner and a good car to and from work.

Not sure now, im thinkin the added cost of another car its just best to run a gti, and not worry about the fuel cost, as the added car and insurance will make it more expensive.....hmmm..... Basically im looking at either a 1.8t or ctr, but not sure if they would be good for a 1.5hour round trip each day.......hmmmm........

yes mate, i had one of these a few months ago before i brought the GTI, they're great little cars, never had any problems with it what so ever. By the sounds of your GTI from your other posts, think it might be best to scrap the GTI and just get the polo if you know what i mean

dude if your rollin on hottuning coilovers then i should think any car would be more comfortable on a 40 minute journey ... even a plank of wood with shopping trolley wheels would be more comfortable ...
