clearance issues with bbs RA's
« on: 22 November 2008, 21:01 »
hi, as above they are 15x6j on 195/50 tyres, with it wound up 35mm from the bottom thread the tyre catches on the arch. I took out the arch liner which gave me loads more clearance, and i adjusted the camber as much as possible but it's still catching.
this is a picture of how it sits at the moment, i'd prefer it 10mm lower but its impossible at the moment

It just about goes full lock on the teardrops because they are on 185/60's. Getting 185 tyres for the bbs isnt an option because they have nearly new yoko paradas so would it be a good idea to get 5mm spacers and knock in the negative camber?

thanks alot

nice ride height

your gonna need arch work to roll that low day to day though. You may get away with it if you run more neg camber, spacers will only make scrubbage worse though.

At the end of the day, your tucking tyre with 14's! so should expect probles with lower offset, wider tyred 15's.

the only thing stopping me from running more neg camber is the tyre rubbing against the spring seat on the coilover, if i run 5mm spacers then it will push it further away from the spring seat and give me more room to play with when adjusting the camber and with any luck clear the arch - if that makes sense. I need to borrow some spacers to see if my theory works
