Stock. I'm toying with the idea of just going to Stage 2 in one go rather than doing stage 1, save and wait for a bit and then go to Stage 2. I swear, every time I save some money, I suddenly have the urge to spend it straight away. 

better get a milltek first then as correct me if im wrong but stage 2 is beneficial if you have TBE.

I know what you mean about SURGE after 3000rpm!
I have oettinger remap 305/410Nm on paper. After 3000rpm, especially in 5th, 6th gears (because they are not as frantic as the other four) it feels like airplane accelerating along runway. 
Now have problems with my car, does not feel 305hp anymore after the accident, repair, and remap. TOmorrow go to Oettinger again!

I think Golfgirl is mistaken unless she uses regular petrol (95 RON) for timing to be 4.

Doesnt need to be a Milltek though Keith - there is that place the lad with the K1 had his 3" front to back system done for £800 and he has the pattern up to the back box now including the downpipe, so subsequent ones will be less.

I also dont think the exhausts are worth what they cost, but I do defo think they are a worthwhile modification - You know what they sound like and it is miles better than stock. Spool and top en power is much better with an exhaust too

....How many miles have you been running your performance mods, especially the remap, on a stock exhaust?

Have you ever considered what hotter exhaust temperatures might be doing to your cats?
