AP coilover kit?

After finding out in the Koni FSD thread that I'd need some springs too, the total price of both gets close to the price of some Koni coilovers which is kind of stretching my budget  . Awesome also stock another brand of coilovers called AP too. Has anybody heard of these? They make a 50mm strut version, so they would fit my 1.4 mk5. Does anyone know if they are much good?

Sarah showed me these at the UKMKIV's V's Cupranet RR day as they had just begun to stock them. Very very good value for money for someone on a tight budget, but the threads aren't stainless and would be more prone to seizing (IMHO) than more upmarket stainless offerings

Is seizing a common problem or is it rare? Sorry but I don't really know much about coilovers.
Since I'm in college during the week I'm only driving at weekends, would this increase seizing chances?

the seizing is only with reference to the adjustment collars that you adjust the ride height with not the dampers themselves, so once you have the ride height where you want it it shouldn't pose a problem. A regular squirt of WD30 on the collars would prevent this happening

Ooops, erm.. its special stuff just for coilover collars and ED30's
