Found an extremely low mileage mk2
« on: 03 June 2004, 10:30 »
In my ongoing quest to find my next 16v I stumbled across a 91 J plate 8v this morning with only 38k on the clock!!! Now I don't really want an 8v but a 13year old car with that few miles on the clock is certainly tempting. It claims to be showroom condition and obviously fsh. It's in pasadina blue (?) I've never heard of this one has anybody seen this colour? what's it like? anybody got a pic of a pasadina blue motor?

Cheers
Toby

If that's as good as it's sounds then I think I'd be tempted. As for the colour, isn't that the colour of Blue mk2s motor  ???
......now officially dubless.

I think blues motor is normally refered to as bright blue metallic and the code is something like LU5Y (i think).
I have no idea what pasadina blue is like and unfortunately the ad is on a site that doesn't have pics. The car is up for ?3995 which would pain me to pay for an 8v but in mileage terms it's almost new!

I was told mine is Kingfisher Blue. VW Bright Blue Metallic is actually slightly darker coz i parked next to one and they where different shades.

Yeah LU5Y. its got a kind of petrol blue look in the sun.

i wouldnt be paying 4k for a golf 8v!!! it might be coming a classic but that is ridiculous!!

i was looking there at a 97 Scoob Legacy RS with only 47k on it, and it was going for just under 5k!
