ipod connection compatible with Ipod touch?? help!!!

im thinking about buying an ipod touch! bought a span new gt TDI in july with an ipod connection in the centre arm rest!!

Does anyone know whether this connection supports the ipod touch

Yep - I don't know if it charges if you are listening to the radio or single cd but it certainly charges when you are playing it.

The latest firmware doesn't work with Audi's dock so I'd check with VW and Apple. It is a known issue

do you mean apple firmware?  the issue with the iphone 3G is that fact that Apple have changed the way the doc connector charges.  apple did support the firewire and USB, but they have phased out the support for firewire pin charging and sadly VW only ever implemented charging via the firewire pin, as it was better.

Yep the Apple firmware doesn't work with the Audi audio kit. Think I read it in Evo or Top Gear for one of their long termers.
