golf bhp?

jus curious to know what my bhp is? as my mate recons i have 125 bhp! i drive 8v gti agg engine! its BOG standard too!

i suppose i could get it to 125 with a few engine mods?

The valver isn't even 150bhp stock, VW just took it upon themselves to round up from 147 or something!  :undecided:


Getting an extra 10 horses isn't hard, chances are your not even pushing 115bhp anymore though!

First of all full service, belts, oil, filters, ignition etc. Then a 'performance' exhaust, combined with your choice of cold air induction kits, not just banging on a cone filter! That might help get you a bit closer to what you're after. :afro:

Most people on ed38 say the 16V was limited to 147 so as to not hurt sales of the VR6 and that you can get 175bhp out of them easily, I myself don't think so as the 16v was aimed at a different market.

i got 176bhp as standard on my vr6 thats with 150k on the clocks in the summer on the rolling road. torque was down only got 225nm instead of 235nm
