yeah been surfing from the tender age of 4, I surf for oakley before that rip curl  it's getting kinda tough now tho. what with med school dont have enough time to surf, but i go before and after shifts and in between if i can 

Sounds like the perfect life!  My cousin in Oz does that, wish my mum and dad were thieves, we would be there too! lol

I miss going to the beach before and after work/school 

I body boarded and we owned the beaches, surfers had no place there I only tried surfing a few times in all the 19 years I lived in SA 


I was well miffed off when the Gunston 500 became the Mr Price Pro - it just fell apart after that 

Another 20 years and I'll be living in SA or Aus with 12 foot waves daily, not these baby waves you get here

But seriously, by 8am the surfers had to be out of the water because they were a danger to people in the shore break and us body boarders were still allowed to continue because we were more agile so could avoid the numpties swimming. Pier jumping ftw

yeah we are a danger cos our boards are not made of foam, agile ok  quick lets jump on a wave and head for the shore, yer thats skill ok...stand up..big baby  its what babies do  pier jumping tut tut nope i've had to fix up far to many of those dopes in my short time

I don't think surfers here know what body boarding really is, they seem to think it's for kids  Truth is surfing is for old men with bad hearts 
I know surfers of 20yrs+ admit bodyboarding if more fun

I have bodyboarded and tried surfing, I am crap at both tbh. Although in Oz on Avoca Beach I managed to get through the big waves and had a excellent ride back in, good fun!
