i wouldn't be using semi-slicks daily, that's just daft. you'd be cheaper getting another set of wheels for semis to track and use normal road tyres for driving.

Quite a few owners on here have given good reports on the following tyres:-

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's
Goodyear Eagle F1 assymetrics
Continental sport contact 3's

The list is in order of price (cheapest 1st)

I have Conti 3's on mine at the moment, but will be trying Goodyears next as the Conti's seem to wear quite fast (for me anyway!). I'm on 13k and half way down my second set :lipsrsealed:

I ran around the 'ring on a set of newish borrowed PS2's and my Goodyear Asymmetrics (long story).. the levels of grip were, to a non-pro, virtually identical once warm & scrubbed. However you can tell the Goodyears have a softer compound due to that velcro ripping style noise that soft rubber makes... I think if I'd have really been giving it some on a warm day, the Asymmetrics would have had the edge. They'll get some more abuse next Sunday at Donny.

I've had PS's on my last 3 cars and usually swear by them, but the Asymmetrics came highly recommended, so took a punt. PS2's last say 30% longer, but then they're £35-40 more than the Goodyears. As long as you're getting the same miles-per-pound then it's just down to personal choice IMO... you just have to change them more often.

BTW - Seat/Skoda wheels tend to go cheaper than VW/Audi ones if you're looking for some OEM size/offset track rims. I picked up an 18" set of these for buttons and some R888s for next year's fun.

I got the goodyears on.. and its difficult to pick a winner between them and the PS2's.

If im splitting hairs I would say the Eagles are slightly better in the wet and the PS's in the dry... but that really is the only way I could really split the 2.

Either of those wont have you dissapointed
