mot certificate
« on: 12 November 2008, 00:12 »
If you lose your MOT certificate, is there a way you can find out when your current MOT expires? I know mine is coming up. Do you need the old one present to pass a new one?

thanks

Ed

go on vosa's website! enter the v5 doc num and reg etc and says when it expires and also shows backdated mots history that can be printed out all the detail back to 2006 for free!. I bought a car at auction without a cert and luckerly had 6 months mot. I just bought on eof google search of some compnay and paid £12 and enter make of car reg and doc num and sent one out next day its that simple mate. I thought would be a load of hassle.

That's how I found out my brake pipes had been changed the MOT before I got my car

It is so annoying. I have everything in a folder including every mot, every tax disc, and the oringinal invoice for the car from a dealers! (£7325)

some how i have lost it when i taxed the car last time. Its killing me.

Really struggling with those websites. I put in my details for the MOT i had, and it says there are MOTs outstanding, but doesnt say when they expire
