what tires best for a 17x8j rim?

i know the 17" monzas are 7.5j with 225 45 17,

so would i need to get another profile tire to fit the 8j rim?

i hade a standard 225 40 18 tire on a 18 x 8j rim and they started to split after a while.. im guess as the rim is wider the tire will have to be wider??

Same size tyres are okay

225mm is nearly 9" anyway.
