I'd looked at that one (I clocked your other post & investigated, in fact your the reason I'm looking!!) but have since found the Alpine CDE 9881R, similar spec, but a little bit older & seem to come up cheaper!

Well do some investigation and check prices, just make sure if that 98801r comes with or without the iPod lead as you'll have to budget that in.

P.S. I listen to hip hop/rap, rock/indie, dance, as kells said, different taste require different set ups, but that's usually mainly based on what type of sub you use (ported, non ported and stuff).

I know about the cable, it needs a Alpine KCE-422i to connect to the ipod but again these are pence on ebay or as you said £15 in the shops.
