I'm a bit of an all or nothing type of person and now that I have decided on a remap I'm thinking why not just get the Milltek exhaust done at the same time... its going to go on at some point anyway when I get Revo Stage 2 done although that won't happen until I get brakes and maybe uprated suspension/arb's... which led me to consider the following to get done on Friday also:

1. Milltek Hi-Flow Spots Cat and Downflow Pipe with Cat Back System (Resonated)
2. K&N Filter
3. Carbonio Intake
4. ECS Dogbone Mount
2. Neuspeed Engine Torque Arm Insert - is this worth it on a DSG car and does it increase ride noise/vibrations?

If you're still around my neck of the woods and would rather have somewhere more local, Stealthracing basically did to my MK4 years ago the same as you want done to your ED30.

http://stealthracing.co.uk/index.php

They're one of the two vag specialists that I've ever let touch any of my cars, the other is midlandvw who could also do what you need, but they aren't open on Saturdays!

Thanks Topher but from their site they only offer Custom Code remaps.  Also, I work in Hook which is about 30 miles from Portsmouth ( I think) so can pop down if need to.  Also, I 've heard that Stealth Racing used to be very good but...  :lipsrsealed:

Oh, forgot the final mod for the week... the ClubGTI sticker on the front windscreen is coming off to make way for the...... golfgti.co.uk stickers on the rear passenger windows  or do you think they look better on the rear and front windows?

The Neuspeed torque arm insert is the same as the ECS Dogbone Mount. With the Neuspeed one you'll have to get a new stretch bolt whereas the stretch bolt comes with the ECS mount.

In case you didn't know the Carbonio comes with a pipercross foam air filter that replaces the stock one.

....You now get a free Torque Arm Insert with your Milltek exhaust.

Many congartulations on your new addition to the family!

If you are still in Birmingham and are looking for a remap, there is a place called MIJ performance in Walsall.  They are REVO dealers and provide a demo map for 6 hours.  They are open on Saturdays but, they are not vw specalists.

....I would strongly advise anyone with a VW to go to a VAG specialist for anything and especially remapping.

It's when things need attention or go wrong that you need a specialist. If you know about my recent boost leak problems and how they got solved by a VAG specialist (JKM), you'll doubtless agree with me.

Yes, thanks for that.  I have been tempted to use them as they are close to where i am - JKM and the other tuners are very far away.  But if its for peace of mind travelling the distance is a small price to pay i guess.
