First "mod" for the car
« on: 10 November 2008, 18:19 »
Finally took the plunge and got the RNS 510 installed together with the vw blueooth module on Friday and i have to say, i'm very impressed so far .  Still figuring out all the functions - there so much you can do with it.  Tested out the traffic update on the way back and it was spot on (even though we ended up standstill for about an hour!)  And, as a bonus, the sound is much better compared with the inferior rcd 300.  If any of you are thinking about it, just do it.  You won't regret it

I think thats it for the internal mods, now for the mechanical mods......

Sorry about the lack of pics!  Will take some day after tomorrow hopefully.  Just need to figure out how to post pistures - really bad with computers, barely got used to using this forum!

About to send PMs......

Thanks   It has completely transformed the dash, especially at night.  Just love the fact that everything is integrated - don't even need to look at the phone.

Finishes it sooooooo much better. Really want this...is the RNS the latest one, get mixed up between the 2.

Oh yeah pm me with the price aswel please. Really wish the dealer ordered highline when they bought my car aswel...only £50 yet they got darkened glass for £180. Useless funts.
sorry but my vaux looks far better than the mk5 gti, thats why i bought it  faster too
