fielder put a 8v gti cam in your engine, a weber carb and a 1.8 bottom end exhaust etc and it will be ok.
or buy a gti

To get 1.8 Litres , you just need to change the pistons and crank from a 1.8 block, and put them in your 1.6 block. As the blocks are actually the same.

might look into that if i blow this engine lol, here ed i have fitted the cam carb manifold exhaust and k&n now, got bloke coming out tommorrow to retune it all, cant wait wanna c the difference
