i droped mine 35mm and you could go lower the problem i had was on the front the antiroll bar would touch the drive shaft and on the rear the where the  exhaust goes over the rear axel. mines on 225/40/18

Not sure but you should have 40 profile tyres - 215/40/18 - certainly not a 35 profile as that creates a rolling radius 24mm shorter than you should have which will affect the speedo.

Ideally you should have 225/40/18 on 18" rims.

Easy answer is - "depends on what profile your running".  Having said that however, the size of your rims should make no difference on how much you can lower it if you're running with the standard total rolling radius.  I agree with what the other guys have said - you need 225/40/18's.  This gives the same rolling radius as the standard setup (normally 195/65/15's or 225/45/17s - like I've got).

I dropped mine 35mm, using Eibachs and although its a bit harsh over bumps, I get a good ride most of the time, and no rubbing (in fact the glove compartment sometimes springs open when I go over big potholes - I need to get the catch strengthened or something!).

Hope this helps.

i dropped mines 35 mm on eibach springs too on 225/40/18 tyres, but thing is, im planning on getting some new 18 inch alloys and use coilovers to drop it around 100mm, thats why i need a really low profile like the 35 profiles ??? is there any other way to it?

100mm ?!?

You'll need a front valance made out of silly-putty mate, so you can mould it back into shape after every minor bump in the road.  ;D
