you won't get 10bhp from an induction kit.
[/quote]

coupled with full milltek and stage 2 chip i can see it been close to that amount

that surprises me,

I always thought that naturally aspirated engines gain the most from induction kits, due to the denser cold air being fed into the system, id have thought that any increased airflow would be minimal in a forced induction car, and the cold air thiing goes out the window as soon as the air hits the turbo and rapidly increases in temp.

A load of the S3 guys have seen 15bhp with a CAI.

The Carbonio helps mid range response and torque, but not a lot else.
If you want power, you're looking at and EVOMs, Nuespeed, Forge or Dibilis paired with a milltek or something.
You'd see 25-30bhp with that alone!

you seem to have mucked up the quotes.

yes, combined with a full manifold and exhaust system and a remap then i'd expect power gains in that region. not from an induction kit alone. too many idiots believe the hype on the boxes.

im looking into a new intake at the mo, seems like quite a cheap mod to get an extra 10bhp and a bit more torque, torn between dbilas and EVOMS one, both around £300 mark, dbilas looks better but like the heat sheild and an engien cover you can get with EVOMS, anyone know if i buy the dbilas will the evoms heatshield and engine cover fit?

thanks

Yes they do, I was/am going to get the heatshield, the engine cover is a waste of cash imo, save the weight lol! how often do you look under the bonnet of your car?

^ At shows etc other people look under my bonnet quite often.

But apart from that, an engine cover actually helps protect the engine from water and dirt etc.
