which is better to fit, an alarm or an immobiliser? I have a Golf Driver 1.6 1991
Brand names and cost would be really helpful

Most packages cum with both! toad,clifford etc
depends on wot package u want n how much u wanna spend?
Id always go for an immobliser,cos peps these days tend to ignore alarms but with a an immobiliser,the car dont move!

a little touch key immobiliser or something similar i would get
i know from experience if something is in your car its gonna get nicked alarm or not.
immobiliser at least means they aint nicking the car.
get some armour door plates as well if you havent already

just go out and get a CAT 1 as the are both. all of ppl recommand Clifford 300 as they are good, but i got a corba and laserline and no problems on other cars fiesta and honda. but gona get clifford on my m3 soon. Cost around ?300 +

you can get a clifford concept 500 for ?250 fitted if you know a GAP security alarm installer
