The R-Line is going to happen, My Dealer leek i know reckons not even to rule out the 3.6 in the golf. 

....I'm 50/50 on the likelihood of the 'R-line' but I reckon there's no way we'll see a 3.6 in a Golf from the VW factory. Time will tell.

The Golf R36 is already being planned for the MK6 Platform my friend!

Cant see why not there is already a golf engined Porsche!!
