Just read the news...

... and official document with specifications for upcoming Audi TT-RS got sent not only to German dealers but also to some other people, who did not wait to make it public.

I already heard inside news that 350hp engine is not going to happen.

What is going to happen is 5-cyl 335hp 450Nm engine (2.5 TFSI) with "compound" charging (two turbos or turbo&charger ?  :undecided:).
0-62 in 4.5 sek.
Ceramic breaks and DSG will be optional.

The car will be introduced to the world in spring 2009 and goes on sale in autumn.

Sounds a bit nice that.. Dread to think how much it's going to be though..  :shocked:

Just a shame for Audi that all the estate agents that would of bought it are all unemployed. Oh well, more to go round for the hairdressers  :tongue:

Im determined to be in a tt rs next year or begining of year after. I think 5cyl turbo engines are one of the nicest sounding engines in the world and tuning potential is usually very good  :evil:.

Wouldn't it be perfect if this new TT-RS 5-cyl turbo'd engine found its way into the rumoured R-GTI.

That would be awesome RR. It would be alot cheaper too :smiley:.
The new audi s4 is going to have a supercharged 3.0 v6 which will also be a very quick and nice sounding engine :evil:

The R-Line is going to happen, My Dealer leek i know reckons not even to rule out the 3.6 in the golf.  :evil:

....I'm 50/50 on the likelihood of the 'R-line' but I reckon there's no way we'll see a 3.6 in a Golf from the VW factory. Time will tell.
