Yeh you dont want anymore than 5%, saw it on the S3 on Saturday and although I noticed the difference it was quite subtle and nice.

That's what I want on the Rado but the UK site doesn't mention any tint that light. Humm might order it from the states then. Damn the tumbling pound!

Yep no mention on UK site, does look good on the S3 just thinking as the Golf headlights are bigger might look funny,

Yeh does need to be fairly light on the Golf due to the big eyes

Are you sure that the 5% tint is enough? Arn't the clusters on the GTI black tinted anyway (the inside clusters, not the lenses), therefore I want this tinting film to make it look noticeably more than the stock...? I suppose the film tint combined with the cluster tint will make it look darker...?

Yes they are darker insides on the GTI which mean you would not need so much of a tint to make them look even more different than a non GTI golf - IMO

The S3 has darkened internals to the light clusters too and trust me 5% tint will be more than enough to make a difference.
This shot was taken under fluro lights but gives you an idea... 50:50

I was thinking about getting some Light Tint or clear film.  Anyone used it?

Can get some uncut in the uk for about £27 +PnP.  that gets you 12" x 20" sheets (2 off).

?

Off topic, but that guy in the link who owns the S3(head of the VW club here in SA) had a black MK5 GTI before- one of the nicest looking MkV around in my opinion!

MervMan, are the red front grille badges available in SA do you know as I've seen a few from SA with them on?

Just got a reply. He got them from:

....Unless I've misinterpreted, the Xenon versions are not darker on the insides^

As an aside, what do the smaller inner lights do? I'm not able to put them on!
