front end panels.

hi everyone im posting from capetown as im on holiday,need a few quick answers my brother in law is looking at a mk5gti tonite that been in a lite frontal,works out to be about 6.5k, airbags ok so just minimal damage i think, are the front ends the same as a non gti ie bonnet and wings cheers for your rapid responses.btw you think you see a few gtis on your travels in the uk its nothing to out here it seems that every man and his dog has one....

It's one of the most common cars up here in Johannesburg also! I see at least 10 on my way to work and back everyday.
Still doesn't make the car feel less special.  :smiley:

And it's not the cheapest hot hatch by a long shot. Well...It must be popular for a reason!

well i went to look at this light front end shunted golf, some peoples idea of only a few panels is quite funny, it was hit so hard that the engine was shoved back atleast 6inches both airbags were hanging there and the roof was buckled still itll be back on the road prety soon i expect.


 mike im off to plet tomorrow(friday) and im back on monday then i go home on wednesday will try and meet in that time if you want..
