Just picked myself up a non-running MkIII GTi for a decent price. Main thing that seems to be wrong is the ECU and possibly the alarm (so expect questions in the MkIII section in a few minutes)
Externally, it's pretty good, missing a bit of the skirt and a couple of minor scratches, nothing a trip to that auction site and a bottle of T-cut can't sort
Hopefully I can pick up a decent bit of knowledge on here, as normally I can be found building motorbikes and have only ever built 2 cars before (a 1954 standard 10 with a rover V8 motor and a Sierra that looked like an LX but had complete Cosworth rolling gear and engine underneath). Got a nitrous kit just laying around that came off one of my bikes, that I may modify to fit into the GTi and a Garret T4 turbo that fell out of a scooby and is gagging for a new home
Nearly forgot the GTi is a 1997 8V 2.0L model
