that one does look accurate. 230bhp remap from a k03 with no other mods is about right.

Nope i'm saying Leon Cupra's do, but they do share a great deal in common.  :smug:

RR's are just tools at the end of the day, if your really really bothered about accuracy whip your engine out and attach it to a bench dyno.

....You probably haven't been on this forum long enough to realise that Driveability is what I'm all about and seek in a car and not who has the highest bhp.

Thankyou, I know that rolling-roads are just tools, and I also know that much is in the hands of the operator and it is their responsibility to be as accurate as possible whether it results in the numbers the customer wants to see or not.

No-one is challenging you personally as a witness but just questioning the resulting plotted numbers. Unfortunately it's not practical to whip our engines out for a bench dyno.

Might be new on here, but i'm certainly not new to the foibles of RR's, their results and VAG modified motors.   More importantly if i had a pound for every thread i've read on RR days that ends with folks chasing their tails over what is a lottery.  I wouldn't need to buy a lotto ticket every week.

Drivability isn't a problem in my case, my car isn't looking for the highest figures. Certainly there are many cars out there with similar mods to mine running different software that deliver higher figures. Mine pretty much reaches its max hp around 4500rpm and stays pretty much flat to the limiter so drivability isn't an issue.  :smug:

Anyway it's only an opinion, please don't get so defensive it won't harm anyone...hopefully! Just reporting what i've experienced

Think I'll just head back to my own territory though, it's a bit chilly (read clique) in here.  :undecided:

Thanks again to Gaz though, thoroughly enjoyed the day.  See you soon no doubt.

This is not the case ZBOYD honestly. Its just this subject it is always the same, its like ground hog day it stands to reason that the car came out of the factory with the correct stated VW figures and there is no reason why it should go up. so when these figures show up it often causes the temp to rise you were just the first one to put up a reason why they are what they are, If you hang around for a while you will see the forum is friendly to everybody except Vauxhall owners.

It comes from years of experience I think, though I don't venture outside of SCN all that often.

I don't mind my opinion being disagreed with, it's only an opinion after all.  :smug:
