Not a VX220 but I just sold my Elise, couldn't get on with it at all.

Which Elise did you have Stu?

had an idea about having it as a toy , or for summer , vx is an elise really with a better engine made by vauxhall rather than rover !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rover engine in mine is absolutely stunning. Admittedly, in standard form the 118hp is not really enough and can be quite boring, but if you go for a tuned variant of the K-Series engine i.e. 111S with the close ratio box, or a Sport 160, then you won't be disappointed at all!

I had the normal K series too.  I did buy a 160 gearbox but didn't get around to fitting it.

Yeah I understand what you're saying completely. So, now that you've ruled out the VX, is there anything else that you are considering?

....And it's very much more comfortable than an Elise and a far better allrounder.

Glad youve made the right choice Candy!!, keep her matie, will be a sort after motor in years to come imo, and potentially with a low build number WILL add to value

nice car but to say keep it and it will add value is stupid cars are droping like a stone atm

but if i were you I would keep it because as we have said before its a bad time to sell
unless you want to buy a real sports car as there are many bargins about atm.

but you could get a new Shape Porsche Boxster for 17k
or a Lotus Exige for 17k

if its only a toy you want there are better cars out there for the same money.
