« on: 24 October 2008, 17:50 »
How do i do this?
i read somewhere that you can fit 4" speakers where the old factory speakers are in the dash, but last night i tried this and the old speakers are about 2" and the 4" ones i had were nowere near of fitting!!
how do i fit them? ive read somewhere that it can be done :undecided:

just get the ones that are the right size for the dash, or fit them in the doors. i fitted factory size ones in mine and they're still too big because the magnets were a lot bigger than the original ones and fouled on the air ducting for the side vents.

I'm sure the door pocket grilles are like £10 from VW

dont fall for the ebay door speaker grilles they either state that they are rare or vw dont list them anymore
they do i bought some a few months ago and they were about £22 but they were just for the grilles without speakers wiring/fasteners etc
you may get some with speakers but dont get drawn into a bidding war for rare/unavailable parts that usualy go for £25 upwards
if you know what i mean
