hi,just found this forum,looks a good one!
brief bit on me..my names' Mike,i'm from the Merseyside area.a couple of weeks or so ago,i bought my first Golf GTi,its a mk2 G-plate 1990 8V 3 door,in calypso green,which i'm told is quite a rare colour? had a mammoth trip of over 600 miles round trip to collect it!!
its in nice nick,and basically standard bar some subtle upgrades to suspension and brakes,along with ATS Cup alloys fitted. i'll try and post some pics in members' cars at some point.
i've always fancied owing a mk2 GTi,never did back when they were current as too expensive to buy and insure then!! up until now i've always been a ford man,owning upwards of 100 models of capri,cortina and escort,along with various sierras,fiestas,granadas etc..so a big change for me!! :smiley:just fancied a complete change of scenery...looking forward to meeting some like-minded people and doing some shows in the future,so anybody local to me, would be nice to hear from you,maybe you go to a local meet or something?
