Dream Spec
« on: 23 October 2008, 12:51 »
Well as i cannot afford to actually buy anything i spend far too much time looking at the perfect spec for the Golf.  So far the spec is just to improve the performance although there is loads i would love to do with the interior and exterior.  Question is, whats your perfect MKV Golf???  heres mine...

Turbo upgrade (with all the other uprated bits, fuel pump, DV, intercooler).
REVO (stage 3).
carb intake.
Primary designs custom exhaust, full system (inconel coated).
Porsche PCCB brake upgrade.
19" Rays versus Dolce Ottimo in full polished with black back
Quaife LSD.
BMC short shifter.
Eibach coilovers.
Neuspeed billet alloy sway bar.

Well,  we can all dream cant we?

I have just signed off the drawings, they will now start to work on the tooling and i will have a definate price.  i will post up next week probably.  I went for 10mm & 15mm to see what the best price was.

I think there's only three off your list missing from mine

Big turbo - not doing (but never say never )
Quaife LSD - Next up
Alloys - Got my eye on some

Still more you can do though- even after all those you've mentioned

VF engine mounts
Whiteline anti-lift kit
Neuspeed front ARB mounts
Schrick 2.0TFSI cams
Uprated pistons
Uprated conrods
JBS manifold

and I could go on......

Hurdy, do you know if the Neuspeed mounts will fit?? I know in theory they're the same 25mm I/D - but if they do, then I'm having some too (serious Autotech woes)

Oh and dream spec?

I'm happy with the way it looks from the factory so:
An RNS510,
Cloth Recaros (VW want £1500 a seat, so they can dream on...),
Bilstein adjustables,
RS4 brakes,
Magnesium Speedline Turinis with Pilot Sport Cups

No, but do have uprated brakes.

PCCB would be very expensive and I'd seriously worry about the front to rear brake bias if someone did it!
