Too Crazy?

Well, After many long hours at the drawing board ive finally finished drawing up plans for my golf, Work shall finally start when i reach finantial stability  in september (AKA Student loan)

The design so far will be to first remove the rear door handles  form the 5 door Mk2 CL, Then drop it a further 40mm so it is 80mm down on the 15inch OZs its already on.

The front RA design lip will then have a DTM touring car front lip attatched the to the bottom when ive finished carving it and covering it in Carbon Fiber look film, The front grill shall then be replaced by a Carbon fiber look replacement and carbon fiber look tape on the eye brow spoiler. The bonnit will then be a carbon fiber hood with two diaganal vents either side

Side skirts will be plain and simple, and the rear lip will be a simple venium rear lip, The side skirts are being designed as i type. The rear windows shall be heavly smoked and the rear door shall be smoothed, However the number plate shall stay put.

The Paint however is where the car shall get fruity, The big bumpers shall be de-pealed and painted, Everything below the door windows and the windscreen (with exception of anything Carbon fiber of Carbon Fiber looking) shall be painted Brilliant Bright White, Everything above it shall be Deep gloss black. The Sunroof shall be removed to add smoothness.

The graphics shall really set it appart, from the rear doors backwards shall be a series of checks that make up a checkerd flag, Each square shall be opposing to the bodypaint, So if its on the white bodywork beneth the windows the checks shall be white, while above this (including the windows) shall be white, The graphic shall not reach the roof but will end when the sides do.

The lights on the rear shall then be replaced for black lights, The cars going to be a real black / White look.

Basically the pure idea of this car shall be a stand up to the VW / Japanese scene who seem to be shunning anything "different" or imaganative, A friend is drawing a Photoshop example tomorrow if she can so look this way for updates. Car should be looking mad tho, Its gonna cost me a bomb tho  :-[

What do you all think of the proposed design? I think its gonna be like marmite, Love it or Loath it

I'm going to go with Adam on this I'm afraid. Why spend all that money doing up a CL when you could put it towards buying and insuring a decent mk2. You've got loads of ideas and fair play to you and don't stop, but I reckon your energies are going into the wrong car. Just my opinion matey. Hope it works out for you what ever you decide to do to the car.

when you get your loan your better off going for a mint 8valver for at least 1k.

how much is all that goin to cost you to do to your cl?
each to there own i guess but it is a bit f&f,

i dont think its a waste of money modding the cl.  an engine transplant when u can afford it will just finish it off.

i say go for it fielder, something fresh and different is what the dub scene needs imo.

still think u should paint it yellow tho

LOL, Good idea about a mint GTI, But if i work on the CL ill be able to transplant a TT motor just like Dizzie did when my insurance drops

Carbon fiber hood can be made for around ?400 for a carbon hood with fiberglass on the inside, Not as light as a ?2000 100% CF hood, But cheaper and still lighter than an ordenery hood I know im running a very high Rice risk, But i think if i can get the graphics to be taistful and not too loud i can pull it off, Im still avoiding all the lexus style rear lighting tho

where the f*ck do u go to uni, my loan is ?4k and accomodation is ?3k, then with food on top of that i get about ?700 to live off for the year. How the hell u gonner do all that on a loan?
