Personal top speed in a Mk5 GTI?

I can only get 88mph out of mine - then the flux capacitor cuts in and it vanishes

My Satnav has the capacity to store my top speed and so I never reset it unless I specifically want to check my top speed on a set piece of "tarmac"

I'm not disclosing it on here though and especially not disclosing where I did it

JBS did 146mph (satnav) whilst testing it, which equates to around 160mph on the speedo.

Any speeds over 120MPH seem to creep up very slowly, not as good top end performance as I originally thought.

Didnt quite hit the limiter but i reckon about 152. Came up very quickly.. and defo had more to give

143 mph on German unrestricted Autobahns - GPS.

Acceleration starts to get sluggish after 135 mph but she'll go all day at 130 mph. That was before my remap.

I too have ripped up the autobahns,travelled quite a distance at high speed and was very happy with the MPG.

Oh and the Nurburgring.
