Personal top speed in a Mk5 GTI?

Not tried it myself, not really into doing top speed runs (as need the help of a German autobahn for that)  . But I have seen vids of Ed30's with same spec as mine nudging 180 bananas on the clock. What that would be on GPS, not sure, but i'd imagine the world will be flying past pretty quick at that rate.

170 gps probs  thats bl00dy giving it some, fastest ive been in a car was 184gps, Dads old ferrari F430

That's nippy.
I wish they (the Germans) wouldn't keep reducing the speed on the overhead gantries every couple km's.  Makes it hard to get a good run up.

I did an official 1km sprint...208km trapped speed from standstill...I have taken the car to 270km clock speed...

*50 high speeds a few times...sure it has a little more in it, always seem to catch people up at that rate though. Not sure what that is GPS.


Cant prosecute without evidence such as a video. Afterall we could just be gloating.
