Are 90 spec small bumpers compatible with 90 spec big bumper arches?

I think so. I've got an '89 G Reg ( first reg'd December 89) and it's got small bumpers  :embarassed:
But I have the wider 90 spec mouldings....  :undecided:
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

^^^^the wider mouldings are pre 90 spec, the big bumper side mouldings are much narrower.

Not really, when you remove the bumpers or arch trims from a 90 spec car you'll see that the arch trims are designed to mate with the big bumpers to keep it all rigidly (sp) in place.
The big bumper arch trims therefore have a lot of extra material in these areas and this will all be left exposed if you were to fit small bumpers. They will fit but it will look a bit odd.

Cool! Maybe I'll try it this weekend! BTW, I have two of those alloys fitted to that Golf Country. Were they standard?
