Interesting thing though on the actual unit that sits under the drivers seat, actually has a VW label on it, yet its ment to be from Skoda??

most parts will have the VW AUDI logo stamped into them  :nerd:

Steve....

The unit is a VW one, BUT... the little bluetooth unit (ie the little black fragile tab) is the Skoda bit and hence reports itself to your phone as "Skoda UHV"

I think thats right anyway.

Glad you are getting to grips with it Steve. Yours is the 1Z Skoda unit that everyone else has, these offer good compatibility with the RNS510.

I've just done a brand new Pirelli this evening(it was collected from the dealers this afternoon and the owner let me loose on it), very nice looking car - First I've seen.

I'm out of stock on these at the moment but I have some more coming around the end of this week early next.

It does work out to a little over £300 as you'll need to add a few ££ for the connectors which you can buy from a VW dealer.

Obviously I've done a fair few now so I'm always looking for ways to perfect the installation.  Removing the clocks is just a little easier to get the wiring in.  I also only make two connections behind the radio now for the CAN.  Power is taken directly from the fuse panel.
