What can/should I buy in terms of oil/coolant/screenwash etc from the stealer? I'm thinking about going down tomorrow since I'm probably running low on screenwash. What kinda prices am I looking at?

screen wash is £2.75 + vat , oil was about £12 , never bought coolant so not sure on that (shouldn't really need to top this up though)

wouldne buy from da stealer mate, inflated prices on most things! screenwash, coolant, oil can be ad from anywhere like halfrauds alot cheaper!

Get the washer fluid and G12 coolant from the dealer.

The washer fluid is cheap but unfortunately the G12 coolant only come in 1.5 litre bottles.

Also, there have been reports of blocked jet issues when not using the VW screenwash (look at the bottle when you get it from the dealer, it specifically mentions the fan jets).

I think if you don't use the VW screenwash, which as you said mentions the fan jets, and they become blocked then it wouldn't be covered under warranty

Coolant was £6.75 when I bought some from the dealer about two months ago.

I read that too. I use all brands of washer fluid and and have never had a blocked fan jet in 11 years!! (Mind you the VW one smells  of lemon  )

Does it make a any difference if you are in a hard or soft water area? Anyone know?
