White Worm

OK Guys..... and Gals,

I got 2 rear alloy which have developed the dreaded "white worm" and 2 fronts that were slightly damaged when I had 2 new tires fitted, yes I know the fitter should have sorted this but less of that I have my reasons!

Anyway I visited a Dublin dealer for a service quote and to ask about the replacement procedure for the wheels. The service manager said he had not heard of the white worm problem and that they would need to take pictures and send them to VW for approval in order to replace the faulty alloys.

So my question is this "where are the good guys?". Dealers who change, and may just change all four alloys in to the bargain!

I visit Leeds/Wakefield once every 1 to 2 month so dealers in the north are preferred.

This is a standard problem...I have had 3 replaced and all the dealers are well aware that Monxa II's are rubbish. Just wondering if the wheels are covered for 3 years or longer as per the bodywork.

I had my front two replaced when I bought it 5 months ago and just last week got the rear two replaced, so now have 4 shiny new monzas!

Got my back two from Liverpool VW, the warranty guy there is called Mike I think. One of mine was curbed and refurbed by the dealer I bought it from as well and they replaced that one without even raising the issue!

Worth a visit maybe if you can do detour.
