LOL, he had an R32 and then swapped for the ED30

Ok - I see. He had the "R32 bug", but he's cured for now...

Nah... never cured.  The moment I set eyes on my new Ed30 and then looked back at the R32 where I'd left it sitting in the dealer forecourt, I had an uneasy feeling that I'd made a mistake.  It was confirmed as soon as I started the Ed30 engine and proceeded to drive off.  The Ed30 is a fantastic car - better than the R32 in many respects - but it just can't compete with that sound   In some ways I am glad I did part-ex the R32 because now its dropped in value like a stone and I am circling the autotrader at the moment looking to pick up one within a month  and I will keep the Ed30 (the wife will drive it locally and keep the mileage down) and the R32

Right decisions decisions.

Is there a noticeable difference in performance between an Ed 30 and normal GTi, cos I loved the Ed 30 but dont want to spend £19k on one. So, think I will go for a normal GTI and do some subtle mods!
2008 R32 DBP gone. 2008 GT TDI going 2009 GTI coming soon!
