not bad considering i only worked on it 4 to 5 days of that 8  :rolleyes: now i understand why people 16v mk1's, they just seem so right  :evil:

Looks like my head gasket's gone!!  :sick: :sick:

One of the only things i never replaced............ Typical!!

Good job i took her off the road when i did as further inspection by Rixy has revealed the head gasket had gone slightly on all 4 cylinders (we thought it was just the one)!! Also ALL the waterways were blocked so iminent trouble would have been round the corner!!

Anyway Rixy started the job yesterday and low and behold after ordering 9A gasket it turns out i've been given an ABF one........  :cry: :cry:

Brilliant!! 

So instead of Rixy finishing thismornin and me being back on the road for todays ECDC meet i now have to wait till after the bank holiday, so probably not back OTR till middle of next week!!  :undecided: :undecided:
