Hey guys, just thought i should say hi properlyafter using the site for a while. I've had my G reg Gti 8v for almost a year now (£500 ebay), and have just about got it where i'm happy (maybe). Have so far; had the engine + gearbox rebuilt due to lack of history (193k) and a speedo cable cog jamming it in permanently in reverse! Fast road cam, BBS alloys, stiffer suspension, stainless manifold and jetex exhaust. Hopefully mantaining the look of a car that is pretty much standard, which i love. Anyways, just saying cheers and hello, all the forum topics are proving very useful in sorting out the many problems that seem to crop up!
