Do MK5 owners like other Volkswagen GTIs

I have a Mk5 and would love a mk1 GTI

I have a Mk5 and I have a Mk1 GTI  

Also in the past 3 1/2 years I've had the pleasure of owning 4-5 Mk1 GTIs, 15+ Mk2 GTI's, 3-4 Mk3 GTI/VR6's, 1 Mk4 GTI and 4 Mk5 GTI/R32/Ed30's... loved them all.. not equally of course

got to love the golf  

We can clearly deduce from this list the MK of Golf that you perhaps dislike.......!!!

I hope Honda turbocharge the next type R.
Then VW will have to design a half decent new GTI, instead of the el cheapo MK6.

I don't.
My Alfasud was much better than the Mk1 and Mk2.
The MK3 and 4 GTI's were very slow for the era.
Leaving the MK5 (must be DSG) as the best of the bunch.

Just because I own (and like) a MK5 I don't have to like the earlier versions.
What do other MK5ers think. 

But your Alfasud is probably now part of the earth where it has rusted into it!
