Headlight Cleaning
« on: 14 October 2008, 19:14 »
Hi there,

my headlights could do with a clean from the inside, is it possible to take them apart to do this or are they a sealed unit? Alternativley how expensive are replacements like the ones with running lights etc?

Thanks,

Richard

They arent dirty as such, more slightly misted, its not condensation just when the light is shining through them they dont look 100% clear, bit like the inside of a windscreen if it hasnt been cleaned for a long time.

I have a wasp inside my headlight. God knows how it found it's way in there. Its sitting at the bottom of the main cluster (just above the indicator)

Im just hoping in time it will decompose to dust! Four months so far, and its going a little grey! Keeps me occupied, as you can clearly tell!

You sound as bored as me TC! So bored that I have resulted to inspecting that wasp every day, its become a very good friend of mine.

In all seriousness though - is there any way i can get the little bugger out?! Or am I going to have to take the whole headlight unit out (not going to happen). Can't reach it by taking out the bulbs either
